EXPLORE SOUTH END CHARLOTTE
The Historic South End neighborhood is located on the southern edge of Uptown. This area was established in the mid-1800s when miners flocked to South End during the gold rush. Today, South End, along with the neighboring Dilworth area, is a vibrant neighborhood known for it’s restaurants, growing number of breweries, design centers, eclectic boutiques, and art galleries. The LYNX Blue Line light rail makes Uptown trips convenient for work and play, and as such, a large number of young professionals and entrepreneurs work and reside in this area.

Real estate in South End is flourishing and offers a diverse selection of housing options. Many housing developments are oriented around the light rail, ranging from urban condominiums and apartments to townhouses and single-family homes. Craftsman style bungalows, eclectic lofts, and upscale mid-rise condos are also seen throughout this neighborhood.

Along with the plethora of must visit breweries and restaurants, other notable attractions include: Atherton Mill & Market, Tremont Music Hall, Amos’ South End, Inner Peaks Climbing Center, and the Charlotte Trolley Powerhouse Museum.
